How can Oyavas help you?
Oyavas​ is designed to starve the tumor: as the tumor grows, it forces the body to create blood vessels to feed itself.

Oyavas blocks the formation of new blood vessels.
This could restrain the tumor.

How does Oyavas work?
®
VEGF is a signaling protein that is produced normally by our bodies. It promotes the creation of new blood vessels in a process called Angiogenesis.
Oyavas is an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody.
®
This means that Oyavas targets VEGF to bind with it and disrupt its function selectively. By neutralizing the activity of VEGF, Oyavas can:
• regress the creation of blood vessels caused by the tumor;
• normalize the remaining network of tumor blood vessels;
• inhibit the formation of new networks of tumor blood vessels, thereby blocking tumor growth.

How will your Oyavas
treatment work?

A healthcare professional will prepare and administer the Oyavas solution as an intravenous infusion.
®
Dosing and scheduling will differ depending on the type of cancer and your body weight.

Every 2–3 weeks
Treatment duration
Treatment continues for as long as it keeps cancer under control.
Life can still go on with Oyavas !

You may continue to work providing you feel fit enough to do so.
You can drive
There is no evidence that bevacizumab affects driving ability.
You can exercise
Mild exercise can help fight fatigue; it reduces the risk of blood clots and improves mood.
You can eat and drink as normal.
You can drink alcohol but in moderation.
You should be able to continue sexual relations. Oyavas does not affect sex drive.

OYAVAS IS A BIOSIMILAR
A biosimilar is a biological medicine highly similar to an approved biological drug. When the patent for a biological medication expires, a medicine comparable to the original reference product can be manufactured.
